Digitec collaborate with UBT Srl (Umbria Bioengineering Technologies), a company born as academic Spin Off of the Department of Physics and Geology of the University of Perugia, Italy. It is a biomedical company which develops and commercializes a portfolio of innovative medical imaging devices based on cutting-edge microwaves technology.
UBT has so far developed two different products (patented):
– MammoWave, is a novel X-Rays free mammogram for breast cancer screening
– BrainWave, is a novel device for brain stroke detection and classification
MammoWave is a new tool for diagnosing breast pathologies, so innovative that it could mark a revolution in the field of medical diagnostics and for this reason it attracted the attention of the European Commission which awarded it with a European grant in Horizon 2020.
