Think positively to improve yourself
What’s your job?
I am a System Integration Manager at Digitec, a key figure in managing relationship between our clients and the R&D department.
What’s your professional background?
I graduated in Computer Science – Security and Cryptography – at Università Statale of Milan, after which I immediately started working as a Developer.
I had the chance to gain experience in different working environments and with different coding languages. Later, I was hired for a company providing digital signature services – initially as a Full-Stack Developer, and then as a Project Manager.
Starting from February 2024, I entered the medical field by joining the Digitec team.
What is the biggest challenge you face every day at work?
Valorising the amount of work and expertise behind specific choices, and helping customers achieving their goals – together.
What skills really make the difference in your role?
Definitely, Hardware and Software technical background, but even more, the experience gained through direct contacts with customers, their needs, and their challenges. Remember that the first step in finding a solution is putting yourself in someone else’s shoes!
What do you appreciate about your job at Digitec?
I have always appreciated Digitec’s constructive environment and its interest in people and their values, while maintaining a strong focus on innovation and new opportunities.
Are these the same reasons that still motivate you to work for Digitec today? Are there any other reasons?
Today – as I’ve become more familiar with my colleagues and the medical sector – I feel even more responsible for the role I play and its impact on everyone’s work. The most rewarding part is precisely this: feeling like part and parcel of the project!
What advice would you give to those who are about to join the Digitec Team?
Start training in advance – both in sports and music (our colleagues don’t mess around when it comes to extracurricular activities!) – and don’t be intimidated by the complexity of the topics we deal with, or the time required to master them. There is no shortage of stimulus, and the working environment is healthy and collaborative. A visit to Digitec is enough to get a sense of that.
Three words to describe Digitec
Team. Commitment. Family.
About me
I’m passionate about technology, both professionally and personally, and I’ve always been a sportsman – of any kind of sport – always looking for time to do more.
I’m a very sociable person, and I like working in team involving other people. I enjoy challenging myself by trying to improve my skills, and when I have to plan or make decisions, my rational nature emerges.
I don’t give up easily and I never back down when it’s time to roll up my sleeves to drive an initiative forward—and Digitec excels at proposing new ideas and opportunities.
